Review based on BJCP2008 guidelines (style 14B). Bottle 35 cl - Batch unknown. AROMA: malty sweet and caramelly aroma. some very faint floral hop aromas. APPEARANCE: orangish/amber color and very hazy. thin head of a slight ivory color with average retention. TASTE: faint floral and grassy hop notes with a somewhat malty sweet background. medium bitterness that lingers beyond a semi-dry finish. PALATE: medium-light body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: an IPA that lacks the aromas and flavours of a dry hopped brew (maybe old bottle?).

Bottle from LCBO at Anton's. Hazy translucent orange copper pour - nice - with thick dense head. Aroma is juicy hops - like Tuatara Double Trouble or De Molen Amarillo - pineapple, citrus, mango. Taste follows - quite heavy malt base with lots of hops on top. Again, like Amarillo but less boozy and more bitter. Lingering bitter finish. Solidly good IPA. Tastes more like the modern European craft IPAs than most North American ones.

Slightly hazy amber golden colour, slight white head. Aroma of malts, raisins and tropical fruits. Sweet malty flavour, light bitter. Bitter finish, malts, hops and grass. Feels a bit old.

On tap at the Ottawa Beerfest. This beer pours the clear copper color I like in a hoppy beer. The aroma is dank, earthy, resinous and pine which wafts from the glass. The taste is bitter pine, earthy with lemon notes. It’s a simple straightforward well-made beer.
