I haven’t done a review in a while, but this one blew me away enough that I couldn’t help myself. The concept of pineapple and coconut in an Imperial Stout was too much to resist.. so I bought one for $8-9 off the Tavour app. Hugely dark brown color with a thick creamy brown head. Deep aroma of toasted coconut and dark chocolate. A little sweetness, but mostly the coconut and chocolate. The pineapple sweetness is slightly more present in the taste, but this is still a deep dark chocolate and coconut beast. Smooth and creamy. Absolutely decadent. About three-quarters through the pint the 12.6% hits me with that glowing sense of warm and fuzzies. Perfect for a dessert beer and a night cap all in one.

A deep dark stout with a thin super dark head. In aroma, loads of fruity sweet chocolate malt with dark fruits, plums, licorice, vanilla, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, superb sweet mix of fruity chocolate, vanilla, dark fruits, light coconut, very boozy, very nice. On tap at Lupulus.

Sweet and light smoke. Jet brown with a small brown head. Pineapple and some nice candy with chocolate. Surprisingly solid all though little coconut, great chocolate and pineapple. Nice.

Dark brown. Big chocolate, booze, pineapple, and a bit of coconut. This has a sweet chocolate note, big pineapple, light coconut. Really nice balanced character, lots of coconut, so it's a big stout, lots of complexity, and it ends up actually being quite good.

16 oz. can, pours black with a small tan head. Nose is loaded with pineapple upfront, with light toasted coconut, just like a pina colada. Flavour is like a tiki drink, with tons of pineapple and coconut. Not really any conventional stout-like character, just a lot of pina colada-like properties. Fun dessert beer.

Burk från Systembolaget:
Kolsvart. Väldigt fyllig och rund munkänsla. Söt, värmande och mäktig. Ananasen och kokosen finns faktiskt där också. Kul att det inte blev översöt efterrättsröra av alltihop.

The Aromas are dark malt, roast, minerals and Earth. Flavors are somewhat like nose, sweet dominates roast and coconut come through in the Finish. No sign of pineapple. Good body, nice beer.

Burk restaurant krokius.

Draft at Brody’s, Den Haag. Near black with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, coffee, weirdly (but not unpleasant) pineapple. Flavour is heavy sweet. Full bodied with soft carbonation.
