Appearance: Orange with dark golden hue, slight haze. Not much head.
Aroma: Tart and sour fruits. Apples? 19th century wooden house that should, maybe, be demolished to build apartments instead.
Taste: More tart and sour fruits, slight wood. Ok, I guess.
Bought: Trade with Mart - thanks!, 500 ml crowler

Sample of 15 month lambic, poured from a jug at the brewery, after the tour. Pours a clear, golden color, with no head. The aroma is lemon peels, yogurt, leather and a bit of musty attic, and white bread. Off-dry flavor, with a bit of tartness and light funk. Medium body, with an acidic, thick feel, and no carbonation. This is a fun, and illuminating experience, but the beer itself isn't great. Flat, funky, and sharp.

15 month old, at the brewery. Great woody beginning. Sessionable, smooth. Not too funky, fresh, not too sour. Very deep with fruity fresh parts, wood and horse blanket. Fantastic.

On tap @Ma che siete venuti a fà (Rome). Giallo antico, torbida, schiuma praticamente assente. Al naso sentori di pasta lievita, limone, mela grattugiata, stalla. In bocca è delicatamente acida, morbida, vinosa, leggermente tart. Corpo medio, carbonazione soft. Un po' timida.

From the pitcher at the source (18 months old). Pours golden. Aroma is sour, dry, fruit, booze. Flavor is mild sourness, oak, bitterness, fruits. Finish is dry bitter. Overall: very good, I like the dryness.

Tasting at Cantillon of this Bruocsella-to-be, aged only 18 months, from a pitcher directly out of the barrel. Pours slightly cloudy pale golden, some green hues. No bubbles, no head. Aroma is quite high: honey, quince, peach, cider, green apple, candy, bread... Taste is bone-dry, zero carb. Pungent, sour (indeed), not a hint of bitterness. Long finish with hints of green chili pepper. Quite good, if you ask me.
