Craft Beer Junction bottle share, thanks to Dave. Near opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Smooth and airy palate, modest fine carbonation. Mellow dark malts, airy dark chocolate and creamy. Huge but strangely mellow bourbon. Trace of raw bourbon but also richly fruity bourbon. Just a mild spice. Manages to extract huge bourbon flavour without ever getting overly boozy. Impressive.

Pours black, no real head. Scenr is rich, intense grainy bourbon, vanilla, rather sharp boozyness. Taste is intense, roasty, boozy, bourbon, chewy, pretty sharp and for sure too boozy for me. Not bad at all though, just not my preference.

bottle, 2019 gray wax. Bottle bbf : Please allow this bottle to gather dust through 2020 and beyond opened 2022.12.31 Happy new Year pitch dark, smooth brown head. sour cherries aroma based in deep dark chocolate and roasted malty notes, some vanilla but not sweet. some wood, vineous wood. flavor is cherries, tons of roasted malts, some oxidation (don't store too many bottles way into 2023 and beyond) Very nice balance between vanilla and cherries, in the end vanilla and chocolate wins out, ending in a roasted malty sweetish way. extremely smooth and blended, not totally over the top tasty, but pretty good.

Pours pitch black and a light brown head with a little retention. Aroma's: sweet, boozy, bourbon, a little red fruit. Retronasal: boozy, bourbon, sweet, chocolate, cherries. Flavour is sweet, liquid chocolate, with a light fruity sour touch from the cherries. Almost full bodied. Long finish, light roasty bitter.
