swing top bottle 750ml. -from Bergmann Kiosk Dortmund. Darker amber coloured with red glare, medium sized creamy beige head, caramel and mild banana in the nose. Sweet malty, fruity, light spicy and dried fruits with mild alcohol presence in rather fruity finish. A bit too sweet and fruity but overall pleasant brew.

750ml bottle. Barely clear, dark copper colour with average to huge, thick, firm, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, sulphureous head. Unusual doughy yeasty, sweet-ish bready malty aroma, hints of pretzel, lye, loaf, raisin, a dusty touch. Taste is sweet malty, doughy, raisin, pretzel, loaf, currant loaf, a fruity dry layer of dusty dried fruit, a touch of alcohol; sticky palate. Too sweet, not really tasty, but definitely exceptional and autochthonous.

Bottle from Rudat, Dortmund; bb 12.06.2014
Dark mahogany color, clean, with creamy head. Some aroma of malt and dark caramel; hints of herbs and fruits. Smooth mouthfeel, sweetish caramel flavor, with an impression of oxidization; low bitterness; a bit of candies and pumpkin.
Forgettable. A bit cloying.

Huge thanks to Erzengel for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass dark brown, nice head. Starts warm-malty, fruity hints of raisins. Sourish background, not too much. Well balanced finish, fine warming. Really nice!

75cl-bottle. Malziger Geruch, malzig-wässriger Antrunk. Der Hauptteil ist malzig, ganz leicht sauer. Kaum Herb, schon fast zu süß. Klebrig. Keine Differenz in der Malzaromatik wahrnehmbar. Leider. --> Langweiliges Bier. Der Alkohol ist am Rande zu schmecken. 8/12/7/8

Bouteille( kindly delivered by MoritzF!): Deeeeep amber coloured, presumably hazy, small white foamy layer; sweet caramelly and vinous ( sherry-like) nose with leather and dried fruits in the background; moderate to solid sweet-sourish flavour, a restrained bitterness is detectable; tobacco and old wine in the caramelly-fruity finish, followed by a dry malt bitterness in the aftertaste. Wow, what a goody…

(bottle, 100cl, filled 22.XII.2011) Opaque, almost black coloured hue with a short tanned foamy layer. Sweet dark malty aroma with notes of dried fruits, coffee beans, molasses, leather and a Sherry-like cham-yeasty touch, accompanied by a whiff of alcohol. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, almost full bodied with a tame carbonation. Dark and roasty malt-character with notes of candied fruits, berries and molasses, although the mouthfeel is medium-dry; sweet and roasty bitter finish with almost vinous notes of fruit confit and a muted alcoholic strength. A very interesting Porter-like brew, tastes quite old-fashioned and rather un-commercially but hopefully will find its aficionados. 08.I.12
