Made with caramelized sugar, lactose, vanilla and tonka beans. A nice beer dessert with a full and thick taste of caramel, vanilla and lactose. The Tonka beans provide an even sweeter taste. Crème Brûlée in a can!

Can from Pub-up-beershop, Wolvega. Aroma is burnt sugar, caramel, brown malt, notes of fudge. Rather sweet with a moderate bitterness. Lots of brown sugar, toffee. Body is medium, not as creamy as I expected.

440 ml can. Pours a mahogany color with full head. Aromas of pine, burnt sugar, raisins, soft chocolate and toasted malts. Flavors follow same with barley wine malts and sharpness taking a lead over caramel and cream. Sharp finish with noted alcohol. Interesting. Worth cellaring.

Can, 0.44l. Aroma of caramel, vanilla, milk chocolate, mild tropical fruit and alcohol. Pours cloudy dark brown color with thick creamy light brown head, good lacing and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts with medium sweet caramel and toasted malt, following is resinous, herbal, faint tropical fruity with vanilla and woody note, mouthfeel is smooth and mild spicy, while finish is heavy bitter. Full body, thick texture and average carbonation in palate. Bruleeliant...

Can. Dark amber pour. Aroma of malt, raisin, caramel, vanilla, dates and cream. Taste has bitter caramel, vanilla, malt, dates, raisin, creamy custard and hopbitters. Flavors are allright, but this needs more malt base and complexity to be really good.

Dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of vanilla, butterscotch, caramel. Flavour is heavy sweet and bitter. Light full bodied and boozy with soft carbonation. Really doesn’t come together.

Can shared thanks to kermis. Dark brown with beige head, not really a pale barley wine 😅. Some vanilla, sweet malts, soft creamy notes, woody, weedy hops, caramel, soft burnt notes, lots of alcohol. Qiite sweet but also very bitter. Full bodied with dry boozy finish. Not really my thing, also way too bitter for a pastry modeled barley wine.
