Does the job. Quite sweet though not overly cloying, has some boozy kick, subdued chocolate, rounded dark malts, raisins, dark fruits. A little burnt marshmallow, ripe berries. Warming finish. Drinks alright.

Can at Boothill Saloon, Amersfoort. Lots of caramel and toffee in the aroma, with fudge, notes of maple, vanilla, some chocolate. Quite sweet with a mild bitterness. Sticky mouthfeel, typical Amundsen Pastry Stout, bit too much but certainly sippable.

Sjøen 300923. Black color with a brown head. Aroma is maple syrup, chocolate, lactose. Flavor is maple syrup, chocolate, roasted malt, lactose, alcohol, spices.

I do enjoy a good pastry stout. The 440 ml can was found at Amathus Soho in London a couple months ago, being opened tonight. I have to call this one jet black as it appears in my globe glass. Almost no head, at best a thin ring of dark tan bubbles. What a nose, yes, I get the syrup and the chocolate. A good scent, the taste only improves on that. Chocolate, pecans, dough, malt, maple syrup as advertised and perhaps a hint of strawberries. All this and 11.5% abv, pretty tasty and potent.

Svart med brunt skum. Lukter lakris, lønnesirup og litt sjokolade. Smaker sjokoladekake, lønnesirup. Passer perfekt til en lunken sjokoladekake.

Black with a brown head - Sweet caramel chocolate aroma - Malt body with a sweet caramel chocolate flavoru with some spicy wood notes - The sweet flavours goes into the finish with some alcohol heat - This was good

Pours black, small to no tanned head. Scent is sugary, notes of caramel, more so than the listed ingredients. Taste is medium full, high sweetness ( sugary), maple, tad roasty, caramel, sticky sweet sugary finish. Not very balanced. As to be expected with amundsen, overly sweet and simple.

440ml can. Pours jet black with a medium head. Aroma is milk chocolate cookies and a little maple syrup. Taste has milk chocolate cookies throughout with booze and a little maple syrup on the finish.
