Can shared at work. Black pour with a reddish hue and a quickly dissipating head. Nose is heavy on the raspberry with hints of coconut and some dark chocolate. Taste is sighlty less fruity but the raspberry is still rather apparent, the chocolate on the other hand is more articulated. There’s some earthy roasted notes and coconut, but it’s kinda subdued. Nicely rounded and tasty, but the fruit’s acidity kinda kills the pastry vibe for me. Also, the body could be bigger.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Black colour, bubbly beige foam head and aroma of raspberry, coconut, oak, chocolate. Taste is raspberry & coconut, with wood, oak, chocolately malt, alittle tartness and roasty bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, lingering raspberry & coconut finish. Nicely drinkable.

I often find red fruit and stout a tricky combination, it clashes so easily. Not here, the pastry mode is set just right, with sweet chocolate mixing with subtle roast, and jammy raspberry with soft coconut. Very tasty, well done!

(Can) Pours black with small tan head. Subtle aroma of dark roast grain with chocolate notes and raspberry hints. Rich, smooth, fully body with fine bright carbonation. Lovely rich taste with chocolate, coconut and raspberry. There’s some dark roast bitterness in the finish and a hint of booze. Very nice.
