Tap at Druggists, Singapore. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin off white head. The aroma is dry coffee, roasty malt, charcoal, dry hop. The flavour is moderate dry liqouice bitter with a smoky malt, dry coffee palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle from Oddbins Beer Shop, Blackheath. Black pour with a long lasting tan head. Lots of coffee in the nose backed up by a splash of cola, licorice and cocoa. Big coffee hit in the taste with a modicum of smoke, cocoa and a mysterious squiggle (resembles zigzags) in my notebook that even I can't read. Nice.

Bottle at home. Pours very dark brown with some lingering espresso-like foam. Aroma is very roasty, coffee, zesty, with a lot of spiciness. I love Ethiopian coffee and it's noticeable here, although some more fruitiness would've been brilliant. Low to medium body. Flavour brings out the coffee in a lovely way. Roasty flavours abound, malt sweetness is there but not too pronounced. Tangy, spicy and somewhat zesty notes from the coffee are pronounced. Finishes with loads of coffee, fruity and zesty, even a tad warming, and dry. Lovely porter, coffee is nicely showcased.
