Buzzsaw pays homage to Ypsilanti's early years when sawmills handcrafted the lumber that built the town. Lumber has since given way to beer and our brewers now craft with barley and hops! Loaded with Simcoe, Mosaic, and Citra, Buzzsaw cuts through with layers of tropical fruit, citrus and resinous pine. Let's raise a glass to the craft, whatever your craft may be!

Solid WCIPA, with a lovely pine bitterness set against grapefruit zest, a touch of stone fruit, lime zest, and a slight caramel sweetness accented with grain. Nice reason to visit Ypsi.

The beer is a hazy orange-amber color with a medium ivory white head that recedes steadily. Stringy lace. Piney hops, citrus and malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of resiny hop, grapefruit and biscuit malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a citrusy hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

Draft at Bigalora Southfield. Pours a clear gold with 2 fingers of white foam that lingers. Lovely pine and citrus pith aromas with light toasted malt. Dry on the palate with pine, pith and faint citrus zest noticeable. Fairly dry finish with a light body and punchy, citrus focused hops. Preetty nice west coast leaning IPA. Very enjoyable.

Can. Unclear holden color with white head. Aroma is piney, caramel, resinous. Taste is the same. Almost medicinal bitter finish. Oily mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Not great.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, no can dating. Pours fairly hazy/cloudy medium golden amber color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/rind, light peppercorn, pine, cracker, toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/rind, light peppercorn, pine, cracker, toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, cracker, toasted biscuit, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterns balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/sticky, and fairly crisp/resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6.8%. Overall this is an excellent IPA. All around great citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/resinous/drying finish, not overly aggressive. Definitely a lot better than the old one, less malty. Great Simcoe, Mosaic, Citra showcase. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hop complexity; nice bready malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness from lingering dryness. A very enjoyable offering, loved the hop bill as expected.

Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was a rigid burnt amber color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Sly messy lace.
The aroma had some sweet citrus pulp, light pine, herbal hop quality, light earthiness, damp wood and a little bit of grassiness.
The flavor was somewhat sweet with that dried \"English\" sort of taste to it. Aftertaste was earthy, herbal and floral with some toast. Finish was malty.
The palate was somewhat dry with a medium body, sturdy carbonation and a nice ABV.
Overall, seemed like an English styled IPA to me, I didn’t mind this one. But also could have been an old bottle as there wasn’t any date on it.

On cask at Slows BBQ pours a hazy orange with some creamy, white head. Nose has honey, grist, orange juice, pine. Flavor is sweet with OJ and honey and grist, mild soap, lemon-lime soda. Sticky finish.

Bottle, with a big fresh IPA perfumy aroma. Quite strong kick in the mouth with all its bitter IPA charming personality. Yes, let’s think about chewing on green grapefruit rind and then washing it down with a little turpentine and pine tree sap. So terribly on rude style it approaches double imperial IPA territory, wewwie. Will somebody please get me a macro lager to wash this down with?
