In Caldera Lake, we showcase all that's glorious about Simcoe. Characterised by deep pine, refreshing bitey citrus, and juicy apricot, Simcoe is a reliable choice for big hoppy brews. An oat-heavy brew, and London Fog yeast, creates a thick and juicy template for the hops to dominate. Dive in.

Can at home. Hazy yellow orange color, full sized rough white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, orange and apricot fruity notes, a tad sweetish perhaps. Overall quite okay though.

Can shared in London - cheers Kenny! Pours murky yellow with a creamy, white head. A little odd, somewhat astringent, with a bit of smoke, lemon rind. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Further astringency on the finish. Not good, almost certainly flawed.

Can, 440ml. Orange color. Bbe 28/10. Feels tired. Sweet, caramelly, herbal. Not the best drinkability. Light bitterness.

Can split at L6, thanks to Kenny, 22/08/19. Murky golden orange with a well presented off white cap. Nose is orange pith, raw pineapple, melon, citric shreds, grass, light pine. Taste comprises ripe melon, light pine, toasted malts, grass, orange pith, light floral strokes, hint of dextrose. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with lightly aggressive hop bitterness. Decent enough easy drinking DIPA.

Can shared at the columbus tasting 22/08/2019. Many thanks! A clouded bright gold coloured pour with a halo of loose white head. Aroma is semi sweet, wheat, smoked hop, rubber sole, tarmac. Flavour is composed of semi sweet wheat, oats, smoked , mellow dank, bit sweaty, spicy citrus finish. Palate is semi sweet, chewy, moderate carboantion. Bit weird.

(Keg at Viisi Penniä, 20190802) The beer poured cloudy and dirty orange. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had peach and coconut. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, citricness, smoke, coconut, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, worty and bitter. A weird brew that messed up my senses completely.
