This lager would go down well on a hot, sunny day – it’s unfussy and refreshing, with some soft bready grain character and a few light floral touches to the subtle earthy hops. Serve extra cold and pray for the sun.

330 ml can, as Whitewater Helles Lager, from KWM Wines & Spirits. ABV is 4.2%. Pale golden colour, moderate to small white head. \"Dusty\" and grainy aroma, a hint of old jam. Citric mouthfeel, but not too fizzy. The flavour is malty and slightly citric, low bitterness, fairly refreshing.

Uit een blikje bij en van Huub. Helder goudgeel, wit schuim. Een fris pils, laag in percentage. Lekker dorstlessend.

@home w/ Joost, poured into a stem glass. Clear pale golden colour, small frothy white head, mostly diminishing, no lacing. Aroma pilsner malt, grain, light citrus. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, grain, bread. Light to medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, sweetbitter aftertaste, well-made and clean helles, nice.
