Can 33.cl. @home poured into a teku glass. Opqque medium amber colour, small frothy white to off-white head, slowly dissipating, light lacing. Aroma sweet malt, raisins, caramel, syrup, dark fruit, some alcohol. Taste medium sweet and slightly bitter, malty, caramel, dark fruit, raisins, plum, brown sugar. Medium body, watery to oily texture, soft carbonation, rather fruity sweetbitter aftertaste, too fruity for a dubbel nevertheless nice.

Can. Bready, with caramel, toffee, ripe fruit and a meaty hint. Slightly metallic. Kinda decent, nothing more. 546412 250809

Tap at BPBW 2025. Slightly misty dark amber body, didn't note the head. Caramel and somewhat vinuous notes in the aroma. Lean, dry, caramelly taste, bit grainy. Not too Belgian but a tasty little ale.

330 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7.0%. Copper to chestnut colour, small white head. Aroma of caramel, syrup, brown sugar and brown bread, hints of dark dried fruits. Soft mouthfeel, moderate carbonation. Medium sweet flavour with the same elements as the aroma, also hints of mild spices.

Bottle. Clear amber body under a moderate sized tan head. Aroma has caramel malt, toast, dry fruit and brown sugar. Taste is sweet, quite smooth brown malt, brown sugar, dry fruit and fruity Belgium yeast. Fine body and long-lasting aftertaste. Nice interpretation of a Belgium dubbel, perhaps a bit rough edged but enjoyable for the nostalgist and a fine match for a cheeses plate. Perhaps most kids today has ruined their taste pallets on juicy and pastry stuff know what this is all about.
