Can, many thanks HuskerTan! Darkest brown color with beige head. Aroma is cocoa, soy sauce, a bit vanilla, peanuts. Taste is cocoa, chocolate, a bit soy sauce, pumpernickel. Silky mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Weird muckefuck and grains aftertaste. Quite dry, a bit weird.

Dark dark brown, like a brown (not black) hole. Cinnamon cocoa aroma. Super coffee roasty, very strange off aftertaste that makes me not want to take another sip.

12 oz. can purchased at The Beer Store, Southhampton, PA. Full thick head on top a black liquid. Aroma of chalky ash, weak chocolate, light coffee. Cocoa nib dominates the flavor. Coffee, dark fruits notes. Thick full body, nice texture. Alcohol is noticed even when cold.

Got in a trade with The-Adjunct-Hippie. 12 ounce can into snifter, no can dating. Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a 1 finger dense tan head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, nutty coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, molasses, vanilla, fudge brownie, licorice, raisin, date, an toasted dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of smoke, char, leather, tobacco, herbal, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, coffee, cocoa, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, nutty coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, molasses, vanilla, fudge brownie, and toasted dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of licorice, raisin, date, smoke, char, leather, tobacco, herbal, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal/spicy hop and roast/char bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, nutty coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, molasses, vanilla, fudge brownie, toasted dark/brown bread, light licorice/dark fruit, smoke, char, leather, tobacco, herbal, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, coffee, cocoa, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; with a great roast/hop bitter/sweet balance, and no cloying/acrid flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/char bitterness and spicy alcohol. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/velvety, and slightly slick/sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Lightly increasing warmth of 10% after the finish! Overall this is an outstanding flavored imperial stout! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, coffee, cocoa, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the big ABV with the mildly bitter/drying finish. Not overly roasty/charred. Very rich and well rounded imperial stout malt complexity, balanced fruity/nutty coffee and cocoa nibs; with light earthy hop balance against sweetness and some complementing fruity yeast. A highly enjoyable offering, and very impressive style example all around.

Pour is a pretty close to almost black with a very small tan head. Aroma is a nice char/roasted/molasses malt. Very sweet smelling but also very herbal hop as well. Flavor is a decent char with some sweetness and a very small bit of vinegar sourness at the end. No alcohol is to be found and this leaves a nice roasted malt on the tongue. A solid Impy stout, just get rid of a bit of sourness and you may have something here.

Can from Kunda. Pours inky black with sizeable tan head. Medium body, and aroma of licorice and booze. Roasted malt and licorice taste, long bittersweet finish.

12oz can, no date. I was surprised to see one of my old Kansas breweries show up in Pennsylvania of all places. Poured into a white wine glass. Very dark brown pour. Aroma is fumy, not acidic, not big, not adjunct-filled, and not coffee filled. Never would have thought it had cocoa nibs and coffee. Just mix of dark cocoa, fumy malts, and unsweet brownie. Flavor is similar, dry but not acrid, low bitterness. Just a nice impy stout without frills.
