Good thing Kees does know his heavy stuff. Just a perfectly fine pastry stout here; creamy, smooth and sweet, with a nice amount of orange tossed into the bucket. Fruity, but in a chocolate cakey way. Nothing extraordinary, but certainly enjoyable.

Can. Opaque dark brown beer, tidy tan head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Soft dark chocolate malts, a little recessed but with a touch of thin malt cream. Soft but rich orange, some orange oils. Little orange peel - quite mellow. Smooth finish. It's a tad basic but the orange keeps you coming back for another swig. Fun.

33 cl. can @ home, bought @ Plus Culemborg. Black with a small tan head. Orange marmelade aroma with chocolate. Sweet taste with a sweet finish with a sour note. Some alcoholwarmth. Low carbonation with quite a thin body. Nice not too sweet pastry stout, not as cloying as most others.

0.33 l can from 'Ace Drinks', best before December 2025. Clear, very dark ruby to black with a thin, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty and slightly fruity aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, soft cake and marmelade. Quite sweet, malty, gently roasty and slightly fruity taste of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, soft cake and some marmelade, followed by a medium long, gently roasty-bitter, a bit boozy finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice idea, quite refreshing for an Imperial Stout, tasty.

Can. Black pour. Aroma of sweet chocolate, burned caramel, licorice, little smoke and sugar. Taste has burned caramel, licorice, dark chocolate, sugar and cheap chemical orange. Very thin body. No fruity zesty note or whatsoever, only fake orange flavors. Not good.
