Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. 2019 vintage. Lots of dried fruits in the aroma, with spicy yeast, figs, brown malt, caramel, raisins, plum, spicy notes, soft bourbon. Flavour is medium sweet, lightly some alcohol in the finish. Medium body. Lovely dried fruits, would have like a bit more barrel influence.
Turned slighty sour. More interesting now 😂

Almost black with creamy coloured wispy head. Intense aroma of sweet prunes, toasted oak, vanilla rich red wine. Slightly oily texture with almost no carbonation. All the raisiny sweetness is tempered by a woody dryness. Rich. Silky. Slightly warming.

Bottled Dec 3, 2019, drunk May 6, 2023. Clear dark mahogany. Large beige head steadily to cover. Nose is prototypical, flawlessly-executed BSA. Lots of fruity ester, some plaster/minerality, lots of raisin, plum, tobacco, prune, etc...Not boozey, low but apparent bourbon spice. Soft, malty, lean, nicely attenuated but highly flavorful with chalk, tobacco, plum, raisin and lightly roasted malts. Spicy phenols with gentle clove. Pretty tight carbonation. Well-aged, soft all around. Just a by-the-books BSA.

(Bottle, vintage 2014, bottled 2018) Dark brown colour with brief beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of dried figs, raisins, oak wood, black bread, caramel, coffee, bourbon, spices and vanilla. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, red fruit, caramel, dried figs, prunes, raisins, crisp-bread, oak wood, bourbon, vanilla, nutmeg and a balanced roasty bitterness in the finish. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Really rich and complex with a good bourbon barrel character. Great beer.

Brown colour, moderate sized creamy beige-ish head; aroma and taste of prune, dried sour cherry, burnt sugary, dark chocolate, vanilla, and caramel notes; great one!

0.33l bottle. Slightly murky brown body with a beige head. Aroma and taste of of vanilla, bourbon, nutmeg, dark sugar syrup, orange zest and some chocolate. Complex beer with a bourbon barrel profile that only makes the beer more smooth. Awesome.

0.33 l bottle from 'Drankgigant.nl', 2019 vintage, bottled in January 2022. Slightly hazy, very dark ruby with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently yeasty-fruity aroma of molasses, plum, raisins, bourbon, vanilla, marzipan, candied cherry, dark honey and hints of licorice root. Rather sweet, malty, moderately bitter, quite yeasty-fruity taste of molasses, plum, raisins, caramel, dark honey, chocolate, licorice root, quite some bourbon and vanilla, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, slightly boozy, minimally woody finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Complex beer with a dominant influence from the bourbon barrel. Not as great as the greatest Pannepot variants but still quite good.

2019, donkerbruin bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is zoet en heel licht bitter met iets van chocolade, wat karamel, gedroogd donker fruit en een vleug bourbon die niet overheerst.
