Brava is a 8,5% Double Black IPA, brewed with the new Cara Wheat and Chocolate Rye from @mouterijdingemansbelgium to have a full body and layered palate! The goal was not just to have a dark beer that tastes like an IPA but really was to have the presence of maltiness and roastiness with a strong nuttiness finish and a bold bitterness. On the hop side we chose the Pink Boots Blend from @yakimachief which gives a tropical, citrus and piney aromatic qualities. It is definitely a beer designed to break clichés!

Bottle at home. Dark brown to black color, huge sized beige head. Aroma of malts, dark malts, lightly earthy hoppy. Flavor is malts, iron, dark malts, some hops, a bit metallic, some coffee. Decent to medium body, medium carbonation. Not bad.

Bouteille 33cl, BB03/2023, lot# 005/21.

2/IV/21 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker) @ home, BB: III/2023, batch: 005/21 (2021-247)

Clear dark brown to black beer, small creamy beige head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: lots of resinous hops, bit juicy, some citrus, soft roast, sweaty feet, cheesy. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bit malty, very roasted, hoppy, resinous, bit of a hop burn, some coffee, very bitter, hint of caramel, very hoppy, lovely! Aftertaste: resinous, good roast, very nice, piny, good bitterness, very hoppy, lovely stuff, very roasted bitter finish.
