(On tap @ Mikkeller Viktoriagade, May 7/19) Pours near-black with a beige head. Aroma of nutty roast, maple sugar, moderate coffee, some cinnamon, fairly sweet dark caramel malt. Flavour is nutty moderately roasted malt, maple, dark toffee, chocolate syrup, floral vanilla, moderate coffee, some light cinnamon, finishing fairly dry with roasted grains, spent coffee, moderately bitter, moderate maple and some cinnamon in the finish, a little harsh in the aftertaste. Medium-bodied, low carbonation, not much alcohol. Solid enough but a bit too sweet up front and cloying, drying and becoming a bit over-bitter in the finish for so much sugar up front. Disconnected, but still not bad.

47 cl can @ Hapanta! tasting. Canned 18.04.201?. Aroma has sweet chocolate, molasses and sweet malt. Also vanilla. Flavour has vanilla, chocolate, molasses and sweet malt. Some saltiness in the finish and aftertaste. A pastry stout indeed. Drinkability is not that great though. Rated on 2021-04-01.

473ml can. Massively sweet, sticky and syrupy with some cinnamon, coffee and loads of maple syrup, some ashy roastiness too. A bit unbalanced and heavy.

1 pint can from MBC, canned 04/18/2019. Black, oily body, with a medium, creamy, tan head. Aroma of coffee, soy sauce, dark chocolate, maple syrup, cocoa, moderate sweet spices. Taste with quite a lot of maple syrup, creamy dark chocolate, cinnamon, espresso, cocoa powder, moderate soy sauce, some liquorice. Full, oily mouhthfeel, with a moderate carbonation. Finishes warm, sweet, medium roasty, a bit dry, a bit wooden, with maple, coffee, cocoa powder, liquorice, spices, some soy sauce. Tasty! You have to really like maple syrup to fully enjoy this I guess, especially the taste is full of it. Sweet, but not too sticky, with a balancing coffe and soy sauce-like roastiness. Alcohol is a bit noticeable, providing a comfortable warmth. Lovely dessert Stout! Score: 7 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 17
