(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 28 Aug 2022) Dark brown colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, vinous nose with oak wood, bourbon, vanilla, caramel and chocolate. Malty, vinous taste with notes of caramel, vanilla, dried fruit, bourbon, oak wood and a vinous and warming finish. Full body, thick and oily mouthfeel. Sweet. Doesn't sound balanced, but it's really soothing and harmonious, at the same time rich and powerful, with a generous bourbon barrel character. Ridiculously good!

750ml bottle. Malty and syrupy with some caramel, stingy bourbon, toffee and earthiness. A bit stingy and boozy.

Light, sweet, boozy. Raisins and brown sugar, some dry barrel, quite smooth. Very nice.

Cool beer, barrel aging is sublime. The bade beer is very good, there is only some cloudy muddiness to the look that comes across in the taste that prevents it from becoming world class. Arendsnest ams

11 September 2021. At Summer Belgian Beer Geek Gathering. Many thanks, Klaas & Liesbeth, cheers to the whole crew!
Clear dark brown, thin, tan head. Aroma of date, caramel, cherry tomato, cinnamon, pear, bourbon. Taste has sweet pear, date & plum, spicy phenols dancing over caramelly maltiness. Herbal hoppy finish, lots of candied fruit, syrup, some spices, warming bourbon alcohol. Medium body, syrupy texture, soft carbonation. Very tasty, ridiculous it doesn't collapse under 14%
