A pale, bottom-fermented "double-malt" beer. A specility strong lager. A full-bodied, rounded beer with a good, long-lasting head. A good bitter-sweet balance. This beer is characterised by strong malty aromas with an initial sweetness complemented by a final intense hop aroma.

A sweet and sticky Euro lager. Lots of sugar bit not much more for flavors. Simple and no complexity.

Bottled 330ml. -from Vrutak Zagreb. Dlear golden coloured, small white head, whiff of alcohol in the nose. Sweet malty, light spicy, notes of alcohol and discreet fruity touch with dry dusty finish. Not bad for Menabrea.

33cl bottle. Pale color, big creamy white head, lacing. Aroma malty lager with some grass and nothing more, very faint, not much going on. Taste is flat, light malty sweet and light bitter. Thick texture, average carbonation, clean finish. Well hidden alcohol at least.

Menabrea Strong 6.5% A clear brassy gold color with a thick white head that lingered with some soapy lacing for a fairly respectable amount of time. The aroma is of a thick tangy graininess with some uric acid (piss) and herbal notes. Medium to full bodied but with a rough flavor: sharp booze, grains biscuit/caramel, hops like licking pine bark. Not sure what’s going on but by ramping up the alcohol they’ve thrown this beer out of whack and made it into a mess. I see that sometimes among Japanese macros too that make beers at 6+% for no discernible reason sometimes. The other two are ok but give the strong a miss unless you’re just planning to get drunk.

Clear copper/amber with medium beige head. Aroma is lots of malts, some forest, cooked vegetables, awkward pine cone. Taste is lots of sweet roasted stuff and some smoke. Oily but not heavy. Finish has some ugly soap. I hate everything about this beer.
