500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear brown with a thin off-white head. Aromas of malty toffee. Taste is sweet, more malty toffee. Sweet finish, but not cloying. One-dimensional, but not badly done.

Bottle at Inverness airport. It pours clear deep brown with a decent off-white head. The nose is toasty grain, brown bread, caramel and dried fruits. The taste is bitter-sweet, malt driven, toasty grain, brown bread, nut, wood and light caramel with a dry finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Well rounded and very drinkable malty beer.

Cask. Smooth floral beginning. Not too deep. Fresh, easy to drink. Could be a bit more intense, but nice!

On cask at the Stockbridge Tap. Appearance - dark brown to chestnut. Decent head. Nose - toffee and nuts. Taste - more praline. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish if a little sweet though that is expected from the style. Overall - yep 80 shilling fairly well nailed.
