A predominantly malty, lightly hopped beer giving a satisfying fullness of flavour with a warm finish. A glass or two is a must before seeking an audience with the monster!

Orangebrun klar i fargen med beige skum. Karamell, melkesjokolade og malt. Søt og bitter brent karamell i smaken. Fruktig. Kort ettersmak, frisk munnfølelse.

500ml bottle, trade with JohnRMurdoch. Frothy, beige, bubbly head. Clear mahogany coloured body. Laces nicely. Good looking, indeed. Slightly roasted malts on the nose, mid-sweet. Malt-accented taste with nuts and caramel followed by dried fruity, bitter ending. A fine version of the style (hotel room, Edinburgh 10.08.2013).

50cl bottle from Meny Grønland. Pours dark amber with an off-white head. Malty aroma with some toasty notes, dried fruits, caramel and hints of hops. Medium sweet and malty with a mild bitterness in the finish. Lightly bitter aftertaste. Quite ok.

0.5l bottle. This is a clear light cola brown one with a good looking big light brown head that's leaving some serious lacing on the sides of the glass. On the aroma it has a good cola sweetness. Could of course be the imagination, but I clearly smell old still cola here. Also, it has a light herbal tone, almost grassy. Not extreme, a bit sticky sweet and definitely not bad. It's really thin and watery on the mouthfeel unfortunately. Wasn't expecting a full-bodied experience, but this was really thin stuff. Flavors however is quite nice. Lots of internal, thin sweet, really earthy flavors with traces of both cocoa, bitter almonds, chocolate, light roasted malts, really thin coffee and biscuits. Mmhhh, lots of flavor packed in a really thin beer. I'm enjoying it more and more, and it's really lightdrinkable. Not bad. 24.04.2013

500ml bottle: best before 28 May 2013. Poured into a UK pint sleeve at home on 30 Dec 2012. The beer looked good: deep reddy brown body with a full biege head on top. Malts all the way in this brew: semi-sweet and fairly mild roastiness wise is both the smell and taste. Some hints of peat smokiness try and sneak into the flavours along with dark chocolate and a hand full of mixed nuts (unsalted). Pleasant enough and although a ’tourist-beer’ it was OK.

50cl bottle from Glen Moray distillery shop. Pours a very dark amber with a nice head. The nose has fruit cake and hints of ginger. The taste has fruit loaf which turns into ginger bread in the finish. The palate is medium bodied with a creamy texture and a clean and quite bitter finish. Overall, a well made ale.
