Yardsman Tropical American Rye Ale has a ripe mango and passion fruit front forward hop character with a full fruity mouth feel. Well balanced bitterness with a full body and lingering citrus finish. This is more of a contemporary beer style that reflects a combination of the best of Belfast and the US merged into one fabulous beer.
Using the finest American hops and our own Yardsman Belfast Ale Yeast, Irish Malted barley and American Rye flakes, this punchy hop forward beer is one that we are all proud of.

Handpull cask at the Alexandra, Harrogate. Deep golden and clear with a full off-white/beige head. Spicy rye aroma with light caramel and berry notes typical of a generic pale. Tastes sweet, a bit harsh on the tongue - I'm not sure this is in the best condition - with a sweet fruity finish. Could do with being in better condition but at any rate it is a reasonably dull drink.

330ml can: BB 9th July 2022. Drank at home on 14th April 2022. Huge foaming creamy coloured head on a clear golden body. No Rye in the aroma and very little in the taste, although it becomes evident as the beer warmed in the glass. Fairly dry feel to this malty brew, subtle hop bitterness in there too. TARA = Tropical American Rye Ale, nothing tropical I could find, nor much Rye either, as mentioned earlier. I did however enjoy the beer.
