Nice black body and modest foam, good molasses on the nose with a hint of hops. Nice coffee and licorice flavour, crisp carbonation, though a little thin. Still Very nice.

On tap. Pours a very dark brown with moderate tannish head. Aromas of slick roasted malts and creamy coffee. Flavors of same with definite oats adding a creamy smoothness. Lactose? Nice

Dark brown. Medium head. Smells like sweet chocolate syrup. Sweet for sure but there’s also a nice black malt bitterness in there, too. I would like a touch more hop but otherwise I like it.

On tap at Barnside, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of oats, earthy notes, and some dusty dry cocoa powder. Flavour is pretty weak and watery, with gentle oats and cocoa. The body is underwhelming and watery. Wish there could be more oomph. Lame.
