Bottle. Would think this beer would be a "Fruit Beer". I guess since it doesn’t use hops it is in this category. Dark, rich color. Gentle malt and berry smell. Not as cloy as one would think.

aroma is fruity, lots of berries, and ripe fruit. flavour is much the same, but its a touch sour, and the sweetness is a tad bit cloying. Fnish is sweet. quite an interesting brew.

330ml bottle as part of a delivery from the bottle and drunk at home. Very dark brown and with only a little bit of light getting through. Aroma of molasses, liquorice, blackcurrant. Or elderberry. Sweet taste, l more berry coming through here but still fairly dominated by liquorice. Bitterness in the finish. Body is watery for the style, with medium carbonation. Nicely drinkable.
Historic check-in, dating from when the brewery was known as Heather
Dark pour, ashy malt taste that rides pretty hard throughout. Dry up front, mild berry in the finish. Not stellar.

Licorice and berries in the aroma. Roasted malt flavor with licorice, laurel, red berries. Just a bit of fruity sweetness shows itself, especially in the aftertaste.

Bottle. Pours dark brown. Aroma is elder berry and dark malts indeed, fruity sweetness. Body is medium, softly sour, pleasant gentle body, lowish carbonation. Balanced, more berries and roasted malts. Good.
