CBJ tasting, thanks to Cloin for the bottle. Near clear amber beer, small pale tan head. Airy palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Airy malts, a thin creamy sweetness. Ripe fruits. Light finish. Thin and pretty lame. No depth and no substance. Watery lame barleywine.

Sweet and simple, berries, booze, sun-kisses malts. Not bad.

Vintage C2022, thx foe the bottle Dunkler N. Clear, mohagany color and a white head. Nose sweetish nose, malty, caramel, Toffee, raisins. Taste of caramelly malts, DARK sugar, dried fruits, faint dryish Finish. Nice.

Pours a murky ruby body and a small off white head. Aroma's: peardrops, fruity, sweet. Retronasal: fruity, but not sweet. Flavour is moderate sweet, fruity. Medium bodied. Light bitter finish.

Eingetrübt kupferfarben mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malziger, fruchtiger Geruch nach Karamell und etwas Apfel. Geschmacklich malzig, fruchtig mit Karamell, Beerenfrüchten und Apfel, leicht hopfig. Hohe Süße mit mittlerer Bitterkeit, voller Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

Very good, amberish cream head, stable, over hazy reddish brown beer, muddy. Diary, sourish milk, yoghurt, dried fruit as dates, figs or prunes. Some alcohol/fusels; overripe banana. Sweet, fiery alcoholic; strawberry syrup, brown candi sugar. Again dried fruit, figs etc., but also dried strawberry, apricot, pineapple. Thick, rich, oily feel, alcoholburn. Nice presentation (but why still green bottles?). In French they would ask "le ramage, vaut-il bien le plumage?" Txs to Joren for bringing!

Optisch trüb und kupfer bis bronzefarben mit gelborangen Reflexen. Die cremefarbene, feinporige Schaumkrone wirkt fast cremig, mäßig stabil und sehr ganz gut haltbar. Die Duftaromatik zeigt sich süßlich-fruchtig, zuckerig bis fast künstlich süß mit zartem Beeren- und Apfelcharakter und erinnert an Fruchtgummi. Der Antrunk wirkt frisch, sanftspritzig, fruchtig und karamellig malzig. Am Gaumen bereitet eine deutliche, leicht karamellige Malznote eine gute Basis für ein fruchtiges und leicht herbes Schauspiel mit Noten von Kirsche, Ringlotte, Feige, überreifem Apfel und Apfelschale, wirkt aber keineswegs estrig. Aufgrund der Trübe ergibt sich eine durchaus gute Haptik und auch die Süffigkeit ist für 8,6% Alkohol überdurchschnittlich gut. Im Nachtrunk zeigt dieses Bier nochmal seine fruchtig-herbe Seite und die Aromen diverser Sorten von rotem und dunklem Steinobst tanzen auf Zunge und Gaumen - wobei der herbe Part für eine harmonische Ausgeglichenheit und Konstanz sorgt. Fazit: Den 96 Falstaff-Punkten darf man ruhig trauen. Ich bin sehr positiv angetan!
