Fluffy White Rabbits is our Springtime/Eastery beer (or Biere de Pȃques if you’re Dann). A Belgian-inspired strong blonde, but with a lot of tropical coolship hops and some hop bitterness. A fun, fruity beer at 6.2% ABV with Belgian artisanal vibes in the yeast character.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours clear gold with a dense, frothy off-white topping. Medium sweet flavour with nice, rich pale bread, sourdough, honey, white grape, yeast, candi sugar. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Sweet finish, some toasted cereal, more yeast expression, wheat flakes, light grassy bitterness. Solid, tasty overall.

On tap at Ebenezers, Crewe. Pours a cloudy golden orange with minimal white head and good lacing. Aroma is a pleasant mix of banana and bubblegum. In the mouth the texture is creamy, sweet, buttery and yeasty. Flavour has banana, candied peel and some spices. Finish is sweet and slightly spicy. This is great – a very good interpretation of a Belgian style.

Nose is candied fruit rinds, Belgian yeast esters, grass, hay bale, light herb. Taste comprises candied fruits, orange peel, light floral notes, grass, herb, Belgian yeast esters, light white peppery spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid characterful Belgian affair.

Can, picked up at the brewery. Hazed, vivid, orange gold. Thick, fairly dense, just off white head stays the course and is semi lacing. Nose has fruited bread. Whiff of clove. Banana loaf. Dry malt. Some sweet lemon peel. Some squeezed orange. Peppery hop leaf. Taste has a light toffee sweetness, turning spicy, peppery hop leaf bitter. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel with lovely depth. Foamy carbonation. Really does drink very easy. Lingering spicy bitterness to finish. Beautiful beer.
