Basqueland Brewing are known for their fantastic IPA's and we were excited to create a new one together. Karabel is bold and punchy, with a combination of classic and American hops. The aroma is instantly striking with lemon peel, tropical fruit and a touch of underlying grassiness. The taste brings a resinous character with stone fruit and lychee a-plenty.

Canned (Alko Web). Yellow colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is floral, some passionfruit with mild earthy notes too. Flavour is citrus, some slight wood, mild lemongrass, earth and the beer has a somewhat dry palate.

On keg at Coach and Horses Dronfield - Hazy golden body, thin white top that lasted all the way through. Nose was sweet tropical citrus fruits, citrus rind and a bit of floral there too. Taste was helped by a rounded syrupy mouthfeel, sweet at the front, lightly bitter finish. Very quaffable and deceptively easy going for a 7+%er.

Keg draught at the Queens Head, Leicester. Light yellow gold, mostly clear with lots and lots of natural carbonation and a fluffy white head. Smells divine, with some dank citrus fruit, some pine, a little bit of icing sugar. The initial sweetness is cut with an almost-too-bitter bitterness which fades toward the finish. More lemon in the aftertaste. Body is quite watery for the ABV and style, and the carbonation is much softer than it looks. Good all in all.
