500ml bottle from B&M. Pours clear dark brown, small beige head, no retention. Aroma of light roasted malts, dark chocolate, caramel, lactose, grassy hops. The body is light to medium. Flavours are all there, maybe slightly thin but there is a nice bite in the finish. Its a decent sessionable beer.

Bottle from B&M Bargains, Rochdale. Dark amber with a bit of a glow. High on traditional ale character, low on actual stout character, given that's what it is described as, and certainly not milky. Very mildly sweet, it's fair but passable.

500ml bottle: BB 31st July 2022. Drank at home on 29th March 2022. Dark brown body, clean and clear, slight red hue to the colour. off-white affair on top. Smooth easy drinking malty Stout, nothing outstanding or different in it's aroma or flavours, just a pleasant unassuming beer.

Bottle on the train from Leicester to Inverness, thanks to Dosser, 08/10/21. Dark chestnut brown with a good sized beige covering. Nose is cocoa powder, nutty, dark malts, brown bread. Taste comprises chocolate, light spice, nutty, vanilla, toffee. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok if a touch thin for a 6% number.

24/6/2021. Bottle sample courtesy of Dan, cheers. Pours very dark brown with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, milk chocolate, caramel, milk sugars, slight nutty ashy notes. Medium sweetness and light roasted bitterness. Moderate body, quite smooth, soft carbonation. Quite drinkable.

[50cl bottle from B&M, Reading.] A dark tawny brown pour with a loose beige head; toffee aroma; sweet caramel malt taste with a lactic body; then some chocolate and toffee to finish. Very drinkable, but not really a stout.
