Pours a deep, dark brown with a frothy beige head and a brown sugar aroma. Relatively light bodied, it's quite sweet, with candy sugar, dark fruit and some chocolate in the mix, only a very subtle roasted malt character to it, and a fading soft bitterness

[33cl can from Beer52.] An opaque peaty brown pour with a fast fading cream head; aroma of roasted grains and coffee; fruity body with some chocolate and a light bitterness. Better than expected.

Drank on 21st March 2021 on my fake Beer52 Belgian tasting night . 330ml can from Beer52: BB 3rd Feb 2022. Mahogany coloured body, beige top. Roasted malts in the nose and taste, light yeasty feel, better than I expected, if a little watery for a Dubbel.

Can from Beer 52. Not much of an aroma, mainly yeast with a hint of roast malts. Pours a cloudy dark reddish brown with a large but temporary cream head and good lacing. Fruits and spices predominate in the mouth. Dark fruits like plums and figs, spices like pear drops and aniseed. Hints of liquorice and toffee as well. Some bitterness in the finish. Quite enjoyable.
