Bottle, 75cl corked, at Håndverksølfestivalen. A dark brown beer with a reddish hue and a dense beige head. Roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, oats and some notes of burnt malts and alcohol. It's full-bodied, semi-sweet and a bit warming, with a flavor pretty much like the aroma, only with some caramel sauce. Roasted malts, coffee and dark chocolate run the show, with alcohol, spiced hints and some oats in the the flavor. Lasting, warming finish. A bit rough on the edges this one, perhaps too fresh, but a fine one anyway. 190608

Bottle at Sportsbaren, Bod. Has a deep reddish brown colour with a small light beige head. Aroma of raisin, brown sugar, leather and some cocoa and liqour. Flavour of leather, aquavit, dates, forest fruit and some cocoa. Has a slick mouth feel, full-bodied and a light bitterness. Tasteful and nice.

A big 750ml corked bottle kindly shared by Finn. Stable fawn-coloured head to a deep dark brown body, fair lacing. Attractive roasted malty aromas supported by dried fruits and spices. Well balanced taste of prunes, raisin, some spices, oak, and caramel malts, backbone of molasses. Roasted dark malty finish with warmth from the alcohol added by a touch of aquavit, long-lived. Full bodied, enjoying sipper. (Rating session with djoeye, Finn and lmojoh, Tromsø 27.04.2021).
