Bottle purchased in Edinburgh fall 2016 and consumed a few days before the best by date. Black, and a khaki colored head. Smoke in the aroma and it is still there in the flavor. Roasted malt, and an exceptionally smooth palate, alog with some sweet flavor which I might attribute to the wheat. I think this should be classified as a smoked beer. Good.

500ml bottle, from trade with AshtonMcCobb. Many thanks. Pours deep opaque brown with tan head. Aroma is smoked meat, dark malts. Taste continues, with a pleasant creamy woody smoked ham character. A touch of spice on the finish, before more smoked meat greets you once again. Delicious smoked porter.
