Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Mahogany brown colour, thin beige head and aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, earthy. Taste is sweet, roasty malt, chocolate, dried fruits, coffee hints, with alittle nutty earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying roast light bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Bottled. Murky very dark brown body, tiny off white head, gone fast. Sweetish aroma, caramel and, indeed, dark chocolate, soft. Lean, soft, sweetish taste, soft roast, very light dark bread, soft chocolate notes, citric hoppy notes. Lean finish. A very good dark lager by all means! Not a wow, not the best ever, but big props to LD for it!

0.5 l bottle, a sample. Thanks, Krešo. Dark brown to black, small beige head. Light fruity aroma, red fruit, dried fruit, dark malty notes. Good roasty flavour profile, toasted bread, some tart fruit. No bitterness, soft sweetness. Body is light although quite soft, soft to moderate carbonation, light dry roasty finish. Not perfectly clean but not bad.

Bottle, 0.5l. Murky deep brown pour, thin soapy off-white layer on top. Yeast floating around the glass. Minimal lacing on the top. Usual nose for the style, roasted malt, toasted caramel, mild smoke. Medium body, average carbonation. Soft mouthfeel and texture, smooth, easily drinkable. Roasty bittersweet taste and aroma. Roasted malt, toasted caramel, nutty. Subtle fruity touches, hints of smoke. Dry, lingering roasty bitterness. Medium lasting finish. Simple but quite solid. Good dark lager.
