This New England style DIPA is a beast, but not in a "lurking in the shadows, evil" kind of way; in a "flavour explosion, delicious hops," GOOD Monster kind of way! Double dry hopped with 24g/L of Mosaic, Citra, Simcoe and Amarillo; notes of tropical mango and passionfruit, juicy peach, and bright orange, lemon, and grapefruit shine!

473ml can. Hazy, yellow-ish, golden colour with small to average, fluffy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Piney, tropical and citrusy fruity, hoppy aroma, slightly oaty, malty background, notes of pineapple, orange, lemon, mango, some passion fruit, grapefruit. Taste is bitter, zesty, citrusy and slightly tropical fruity hoppy, notes of grapefruit peel, orange, lemon, some mango, peach, pineapple; lingering, bitter, leafy finish. Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, dry palate, medium, prickly carbonation. Disharmonious composition, really a monster, monstrous in original sense, i.e. built out of mismatching parts - not really a good monster, simply a monster.

473mL can, pours a cloudy peachy golden with a small white head. Aroma is dominated by the onion -- there's also some juicy stone fruits, grapefruit rind, potentially a touch of butter, and some tropical fruit -- but that onion dominates and isn't very pleasnat. Flavour isn't as oniony, nor do I get the butter thankfully. There's bitter grapefruit rind upfront, followed by tropical and stone fruit, citrus hops, and crisp bready malt in back. Higher on the bitter astringency than most hazies and with less chalk, which is nice. But that onion is too pronounced for me to get over.

Can. Dull sort of hazy. Not much head. The aroma has probably too much sulphur for me, and that holds through to the palate. Ok, there's it's more of a straight up allium. So same same but different. The base malt is just okay, a touch of tartness flows through, but it's the overdose of stank oniony stanktitude that really overrides everything else.

Tasting at Phill's, can
Murky pale blond colour. Moderately fruity and dank; mostly it has a citrus character; the mouthfeel is a bit chalky; sweet citrus; possibly a trace of butter.
Overall, pleasant.

Hamilton, Ontario, 🇨🇦. Standing by the back door watching lightning beer. Helluva storm here. Beer is decent. Juicy, but overpowered by unexpected maltiness. #badgewhoring
