Germany isn’t very far away, and by all accounts the Germans make really good beer; beer we can buy here, as it goes. So why would a Highland brewery make a quintessentially German style when the authentic product is almost on the doorstep? Well, our German Head Brewer happens to be a dab hand at the ol’ lagers and we don’t need another reason than we wanted to.

100% organic, 50% German, unfiltered, crispy biscuits.

Keg at Casc, Aberdeen. It pours ever so slightly hazy golden - orange with a fizzy, effervescent head. The aroma is grassy, herbal, creamy, floury bread, cereal, cracker and a hint of nougat. The taste is crisp, dry, creamy almost, grassy, cereal, cracker, herbal accents and dull metallic twang with a dry finish. Light to medium body, moderate foamy carbonation and creamy mouth-feel. A decent lagerbier by all accounts.
