2020. What a year. Not much happened of course, because we were all locked in our bedrooms for the most part, video calling our parents and turning our hands in to sandpaper. We had so many plans for 2020, thwarted by circumstance. We decided to finish the year on a passionfruit sour. Seeds of potential, soured. Like 2020. Well, 2021 isn’t looking too promising.

So here’s to best laid plans.

Can from Hop Shop Abz. It pours hazy orangey - amber with a fizzy, dissipating white head. The aroma is earthy, woody, musty, passionfruit, gummy bears and some spice. The taste is crisp, dry, snappy, light sourness, sherbet, quite earthy, woody, almost had a root veg character, spice, touch of acidity and muted tropical fruitiness with a dry, earthy finish. Light to medium body and moderate to high, foamy carbonation. Was hoping for something bright, zingy and fruity, but this is more earthy and wood. Fair.
