Gloriously dark, rich and fruity aromatic beer. This wonderful top fermented beer is coupled with notes of caramel and dark chocolate. Munich is famous for its iconic ‘Dunkels’ and we think ours is right up there and represents ABK’s roots and regionality.

Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from Cambridge Wines. Pours clear copper with a foamy, light khaki head. Light to medium sweet flavour with notes of fresh brown bread, some caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuits, berries. Light bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Sweet finish, more toasted biscuits, brown sugar, toffee, raisins, berries, a hint of chocolate. Really tasty and flavourful, especially for 5.0%. Sound.

Bottle from Beer52. Drunk this with sushi on Chinese New Year - not sure why we chose that combo! Chestnut coloured with a thin beige head. Flavour is full of sweet malty malt with rye bread, chocolate, dark brown sugar and a hint of wood and brazil nuts. Overall it's just yummy malty goodness - wish there were more malty beers around. Oh - and it went surprisingly well with the sushi!

50cl bottle. Poured dark brown in color. Bready malts, some caramel. Quite sweet overalla, light bodied. Clean per se, but too sweet to be that enjoyable.
