Cask at GBBF '22 day 1, 02/08/22. Dark mahogany brown with a decent beige cap that dissipates edgewards. Nose is big on coffee grinds, bitter sweet fruits, toffee, earthy roast. Taste comprises coffee bean, charr, mellow roast, hint of marzipan, dried fruit rinds, light ashen tones, brown sugar dusting. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close. Solid stout.

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Almost opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Smooth light palate, fairly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. A mellow and slightly thin dark malt creamy sweetness. Mild chocolate. Good smooth rich coffee, espresso but super smooth and coffee fruity. Light semi dry finish. Nice job.

Deep ruddy brown-black body, thin light brown head. Aroma initially a big whiff of roasted coffee, quickly dissipating to peanuts and cocoa. Creamy body, equal parts ashy coffee, peanut, cocoa, and roast, differentiated from the base beer by the initial acidic bite impacted by the coffee beans, which also contribute to some woody astringency. Pretty good.

Can from 8 Degrees Plato. Pours a deep brown to black with a finger of tan head that lingers. Chocolate and coffee all over the nose with some roasted malt aromas. Balanced on the palate with a nice lingering coffee and dark chocolate on the finish.
