使用する麦芽、ホップ、酵母の選定にあたっては、セゾンスタイルのビールの故郷であるベルギーで使われてきた素材を使用。 アルコール度数は高めながらも、飲み口は重たく感じさせないドライな仕上がりに。セゾン酵母由来のフルーティな香り、続いてホップからくるマイルドな柑橘の味わいが口中に溢れ、飲み込んだ後に残る上品な苦味が、最後に複雑な味わいを引き締めます。
今回のボトル、奈良醸造の瓶内二次発酵シリーズである、N Bottle Conditionedの最新作ですが、もうひとつ、奈良醸造としては初となる定番ボトル商品としてのリリースでもあります。奈良醸造のひとつの「顔」として、これから様々なシーンで手に取っていただけることを願っています。
今回のボトルラベルのビンテージは2020。長期熟成ができるのが瓶内二次発酵ビールのいいところ。 何年かの後、気の置けない友人や家族と、2020年を思い出話に談笑しながら飲めるようになることを願っています。
We have been brewed "BTTB", "Ptolemy", and "Fleming" in our search for the ideal classic saison, and after some fine tuning, we have finally perfected it. We have brewed beer with traditional methods and using ingredients that have been used in Belgium, the home of Saison beer. You can enjoy the fruity aroma derived from Saison Yeast, and a little bit higher alcohol content, but the finish is dry. This bottle is the latest our N Bottle Conditioned Series, but it is also our first regular (or core) bottle beer to be released. We hope that this beer will be available for many different occasions as a flagship of NBCo. The vintage on the label is 2020, our hope is that after a few years, you'll be able to drink this with your friends and family members while reminiscing and chatting about 2020.and one of the great things about second fermentation beer is that it can be aged for a long time.

Bottle, 750 ml at RBESG 2023. Cloudy golden with large white head. Estery, sweetish, bit spicy, easy going, old school saison.

Bottled 750ml. -at RBESG 2023 Grand Tasting. Unclear golden coloured, medium sized white head, yeast and spices in the nose. Sweetish, yeasty, light spicy and notes of fruits with some alcohol in the finish. Quite strong carbonation.

Bottled, enormous thanks Miro B for sharing at the RBESG 23 grand tasting! Murky golden body, white head. Apple notes, maltiness, and a light phenolic touch in the pleasant aroma. Spicy, clean, soft, flowery taste, lean, dry and minerally, with very well hidden alcohol. Really glad to have tried it, nice stuff indeed!

Bottle at RBESG GT 2023. Feels quite... not nice. Phenolic, but unpleasantly so. Too much warmth, chlorphenol. Eh. Averageish.

--Bottled at RBESG Grand Tasting 2023. -- Hazy golden, rich firm head. Aroma of elderflowers and marzipan. Mid sweet with medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Wheat loaf, honey and elderflowers. Mid bitter finish.

Shared at RBESG 2023, Zagreb. Golden color with white head. Aroma of yeast, malt, fruity notes. Taste is light malt, sour, yeasty, fruity notes. Good.

Celebrating being on vacation by cracking a big one, I’ve heard lots of good things about these 750ml bottle conditioned beers from Nara Brewing so when I saw this in Yamato-Saidaiji (about 2000¥) I jumped on it. Nara Brewing Integral Saison 7.5% 24 IBU Lovely gold with a white topping of foam that lingers. A bit of barnyard funk with lots of fresh wheat malt events. Very dry very sharp carbonation that primes you got another sip but left me feeling a touch gassy. Chewy malts, funk, wheat, a bit bready with lemongrass. Good stuff, I heard the Brett version is even better. Too dry/gassy for my tastes. Let this open/warm up a bit to get a softer rounder smoother body.

Just tastes like saison DuPont which is amazing. Light caramel maltiness with a touch of light spice. Light hoppiness. Lovely stuff.

75 cl bottle, mail order. Looking forward to this one. Slightly hazy brilliant gold with an enormous rocky, fluffy head. Every effervescent. A bit too much--hard to pour, but beautiful. zesty citrus hop nose, creamy wheat, biscuits, honey, orange, spicy phenolics. Bright and brilliant Styrian Goldings. Lovely malt, honey and bread, citrus, herbs, spices. Crisp, effervescent, snappy. Like halfway between a regular Dupont and a Bon V. Really wonderful. Not sure how it differs from Fleming, but this is wonderful.
