A wonderfully refreshing golden ale. We use a blend of pale ale and crystal malts to give a depth of golden colour with a subtle distinct flavour. Goldings and Challenger hops lend a sweet aroma with a hint of spice, followed by a defined, dry yet mellow finish.

Old notes from October 2014. 500ml bottle collected from the brewery that spring, poured at home in Jersey. It's caramel with a white foamy head. Aromas & tastes of caramel, citrus, fruits & malts. Medium body. Slightly dry mildly bitter finish. Enjoyable

On tap @ Brecon Tap. Orange/golden coloured. Aroma reminds me of a Pale Ale. Fruity, malty, slightly hoppy. Taste follows aroma. Low carbonation. Smooth. Easy drinking for hot summer days. Alright.

Bottle at ChrisO’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2011. How appropriate that this was my last beer of the tasting. Clear, yellow-gold pour with a foamy, white head. A little toast and crispy malts in the aroma. Light sweet flavor, subtle leafy bitterness, straw. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Faint dry and bitter finish, a touch more toast. Nice.

Bottle conditioned, bought at the Riverside Farmers Market, Cardiff. Amber coloured with a slick of white head and moderate carbonation. Aroma of digestive biscuits, apricots and grassy hops. Flavour of bready malts, unripe plums and a touch of caramel, with a hint of sulphur character and lingering bitter finish. Enjoyable.
