Bottle, gift from a friend. Aroma is brown malts, dark bread, caramel, soft noble hop. Flavour is moderate bittersweet. Body is medium. A fine Altbier with a pleasant hoppy bitterness.

Big thank you to kappldav123 for this short 0,33 l bottle. Love the label art of the brewery. Cloudy amber in the glass, one finger pale beige head. Toasted malty smell. Taste starts more on the roasty malty side, spicy, increasing dry and hop bitterness. Nice.

Bottle looks simple, old style. Beer in the glass dark brown, nice head. Starts mild, malty, a bit roasty. Dry and bitter background. Also some spicy-herbal notes. Finish well balanced. Okay.

Brown in colour with thin, lacy head. Sweet malty aroma. Taste starts with a touch of caramel. Then a rounded bitter finish.

Bottle. Cloudy dark orange featuring a massive white head. Aroma of malts, caramel and herbal hops. Taste follows aroma. Herbal bitterness. Medium carbonation. Anaemic. I‘ll cut this some slack for being so close to its BBE but I highly doubt a fresher bottle would result in a substantially higher rating.

5th July 2019, on tap at the brewery bar, Erkelenz Bierborse. Deep Amber body, beige head. Malty front and fairly sweet. Decent enough Alt, a style I enjoy.
