Small white frothy head. Slightly hazy deep yellow body with light carbonation. Harmonic aroma of resiny hops, malts, and straw. Dry sharpish resiny taste with straw, honey, and malt notes. Aftertaste just fades out. Clean mouthfeel, slightly watery and chalky. A good session beer. (0.5l bottle at Cardinal, Stavanger.)

500 ml bottle. Golden coloured with a slight white head and moderate carbonation. Aroma of sweet malt, hay and a hint of floral hop. Sweet malt flavour with a slightly bitter finish. This tailed off a bit.

500 ml bottle. Golden body with a disappearing white head. Aroma is sweet malty, and a bit complex bitter/fruit. Flavor is fruity, sweet malty with a low but fine bitterness. There is something here, but so easy to recognize.

Bottle. Clear, except for some hazyness, golden color and a minimal, white head. The aroma is malty, slightly bready, piney and citrusy. There’s malt, pine, citrus and a tad bitterness in the flavor. I could wish for a little bit more bitterness. Thin to medium body. The finish is piney and slightly citrusy, with some maltyness. There’s nothing special about the beer, but it is one I could easily drink all evening. (070827)

500 ml brown bottle, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. Brewed with East Kent Goldings, Fuggles and Cascade hops. Golden to amber colour, moderate white head. Aroma is surprisingly moderate, faint notes of aromatic hops. The hops come through in the flavour though, first some notes of "dusty" EKG, then more pronounced Cascade and Fuggles. A moderate grapefruity bitterness in the aftertaste. Refreshing and reasonably hoppy, not a bad beer, but I would guess the cask version has more going.

Bottle from sainsburys. Label says Arundel Sussex Gold and new logo. Golden beer lovely hop nose, all sorts of citrus flavours and green hop. Stunning. Lemon/lime/strawberry and then hoppy tingling finish. Gorgeous and my type of beer. 949518 4.5/5.0. Clearly I was on smack when I had this beer last time. Yes the hop is still there over a bit of a toasty aroma. Some toffee in the flavour. Some hop on end. Yes quite well balanced and quite drinkable. Failing to see why I went so mental over it last time. It’s a mid 3 at best.

Bottle from Sainsbury’s. Golden colour, thin white head. Having som citrus and pineapple in the aroma. The taste is fruity and a litte grassy and malty with a nice bitterness in the after taste. A pretty nice beer.

Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Golden colour. Odd lambic-like citric barnyard aroma that doesn’t not reflect at all in the flavour. Medium bodied with soft, rounded mouthfeel and notes of vanilla, grassy hops and some licorice. Low bitterness. Quaffable, despite it’s surprising aroma.
