This beer is inspired by the tradition of steeping whole cherries on old brown beer in the nearby city of Oudenaarde, where many producers were making it in the first half of the 20th century

Tap at Beergeek Bar. Hazy ruby red body, off-white head. Cherry, brown sugar and some funk in the pleasant aroma. Nice, light taste, cherries, vague glue touches, funky enough, not too sour, not too aggro, a well made Belgian cherry beer!

Sample (thanks omhper!). Deep brownish amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is cherries, some wood, mild toast and some tart berries. Flavour is tart wood, some floral, cherries and mild acidity to it. Smooth, but also having a nice tartish acidic edge to it.

75cl @ Find your own beats. Pours hazy deep Golden red with a small White head. Deep cherries. Tart and dry. Vinous. A touch of raspberries and Wood. Funky dry finish. Dope.

Tap at Lambiczoon, Milan, pours a hazy red. Aroma is sour fruits, dark fruits, tart. Taste is sour cherries and sweet and sour fruits, raspberries. Really good

Bottle: Poured a cloudy/hazy reddish color ale with a medium size foamy head with light retention and a light amount of lacing. Aroma of tart cherry notes with nice fruity undertones is quite nice. Taste is a good mix of tart cherry notes with some fruity undertones and light oak and funky ester notes also perceptible. Body is full with good carbonation. Solid oud bruin with a ton of cherries.

Capped 750 from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours dark purplish red with a slight pinkish head. Aroma of cooking cherries and malt that seems tart. Med plus body. It's dry, tart cooking cherry with notes of old ale and red wine. Very approachable. Fits the style well.
