Fläschle (Díky, Stefan!): Copper coloured, almost clear, no head to speak of, solid and warm sweet aroma of malt, dried fruits, (peaty) Whisky (indeed)and wood, mild boozy traces underneath; robust sweet flavour, any bitterness quite hard to detect; full bodied; lingering sweet fruity and malty finish - including adstringent traces with warming alcohol in the aftertaste. Not bad, but not really moreish...

Huge thanks to quack-duck for that one! 12,7% ABV version. Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass dark golden, small head. Intense malty-alcoholic aroma. Starts quite strong, alcoholic, malty-woody. Sweetish background, hints of some sweets. Woody alcoholic finish. Goes down warming. Interesting!

Bottle picked up at Biervana Munich and consumed at home Wednesday 12th May 2021 we had a homemade Fish Pie for tea. Listening to Marc Riley on 6Music. Reddy/brown, good clarity with a small off white head. Aroma suggests sweetness to come in the mouth with caramel, molasses and a hint of whisky. Sweet really full bodied, smooth, warming and with a nice mouthfeel. Caramel, treacle a little hit of alcohol, but this is a very good eisbock.

bottle, Heinrichs 3000 Kornwestheim. Hazy copper-golden colour, tiny head, almost oily in appearance. Woody-malty nose. Full-bodied, malty, woody with whisky flavours. Smooth carbonation. Well balanced, the alcohol is quite well hidden.

Starke Karbonisierung. Runder, rauchig trockener Beginn von Whiskey. Spritzig, die Karbonisierung stört etwas. Alkohol, Holz, erstaunlich süffig. Langer intensiver Abgang. 10/11/11/11//11
