2021 edition. Pours a jet black body and a small brown head that doesn't last very long. Aroma's of mocha, chocolate, umami, booze, wood. Retronasal it's boozy, bourbon, woody, sweet, chocolate, light coffee. Flavour is moderate sweet, light coffee sour, light roasty bitter. Medium bodied. Soft carbonation. Long finish.

Jens Smagning (03/02/2023) - roasted dark malty with lots of prominent coffee roast, some chocolate, singed brown sugar, full bodied, lovely bourbon character running through into the coffee infused dark malty warming close. Lovely.

KYGGK 210123. Black color with some few tan bubbles. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, cocoa. Flavor is roasted malt, wood, vanilla, alcohol, coffee, cocoa, chocolate. Powerful beer.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Pitch black colour with not that much head. Aroma is raisins, some liquorice, bourbon and mild vanilla with slight bloody (metallic) elements. Flavour is raisins, alcohol, some bourbon wood, vanilla, mild spiciness with some toffee tones. Also a bit maple syrup to it.

Bottle. A black one, with a minimalistic tan head. Just some bubbles actually. The aroma has lots of coffee, with booze, wood, dark chocolate and cocoa. A bit rough and intense perhaps, but nice. It's full-bodied, warming, quite dry, with lots of coffee flavor. Roasted malts, cocoa, booze and a woody hint. Even more coffee and dark chocolate. Long finish. Not bad at all, perhaps a bit coffee driven, even though I like it. 230121

Bottle. Pours ink black with very little head. Been looking forward to this for a while, my brother generously shared this with us. Aroma is lots of roast, light roasted, fruity coffee, berries, light almond. Medium to big body. Flavour is sweet, malty, intense light to medium roast coffee. Earthy, vanilla, bourbon, oak, long finish. Not boozy, but rich, buy really drinkable for 13 abv.

ABV: 13.1%. Clear dark black brown colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark malt, roasted, coffee, strong coffee, barrel - vanilla - bourbon. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, dark malt, sweet malt, coffee, roasted, strong coffee, bourbon, bourbon - barrel, sharp. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20220122]
