A warming brew, full of spruce honey from a local beekeeper and spruce tips gathered just 10km from the brewery! Spruce tips provide a light tartness that ballances the sweet honey aroma. Just a tiny hint of brett gives a light funkiness that will develop beautifully with age! Age it to get the most out of this brew!

Bottle courtesy of Kostas from Kykao brewery, Patras Greece, Cheers Kostas! and consumed at home Saturday 12th June 2021. Listening to Jon Hopkins - Immunity We have Xenofon, Anastasia, Vassos and Kostas around today, cooking Chicken Tikka Kebabs, Fish Goujons, Chorizo and Halloumi Kebabs and Moroccan Lamb Kebabs with Tsatsiki, Turkish Flatbread, Greek and Italian Salads (*we've gone for it!) Pours warm gold with a haze and a white head, it looks really good. The honey is noted on the nose, it is a little resinous, (pine resins?).In the flavour department this really sings, honey, a little resinous again, gentle hoppiness throughout, a touch dry, refreshing and really nice mouthfeel. This is another very nice beer from Kykao.

Bottle from Fin, thanks! Hazy golden blonde, honey (almost like a chestnut hiney I once had) and flowers are apparent, resiny forest, complex! Flavor is a great mixture of honey flavor, but still dry, spruce and hop bitterness on the back end. Acidic tingling on the tongue together with the big carb. Fruity, fantastic!

Bottle sample at a tasting at Tom L's place. Thanks Tom L. Clear golden, white head. Fruity esters, phenolic spiciness, yeast, sweetish, some honey, floral, sourish hint, bitter note in the finish, alcoholic note, candy note.

Super carbonated and bright. Nice underlying subtle funk. The honey shines through a lot. The spruce is mild but a unique touch. Beer shop athens!

the last bottle in the fridge 750 ml 11 euros, from atlas supermarket near platanias, crete. vintage 2018. hazy yellow, small white head. refreshing aroma of honey, saison yeast, faint yellow fruits. very nice aroma, a bit faint, but super nice, dry and clean. flavor is citrussy, honey, faint belgian yeast, faint yellow fruits. A very light saison, almost more like a belgian strong ale, tastes like a blonde or a not so flavorful tripel. The beer is very easy drinking, alcohol is hidden really well, and the honey balances the citrussy notes and herbal notes of the saison yeast really well.
