We started with a Double NEIPA DDH and full of loads and loads of hops. Then we chose a unique Norwegian yeast strain to fermented it with! The fermentation reached 40C!!! Where most yeast strains die of, Kveik is at it best getting as expressive as possible!

The result is the hoppy papaya and lychee tropical fruit bomb, with a beautiful smooth body combined with a funky light Kveik tartness!

Tap @ Barley Cargo, Athens. Nice head with good duration. Color is hazy golden. Aroma and taste are rich tropical fruits, flowers, citrus, malt and yeast. Nice fruity bitter finish.

Fairly hazy dull golden with a white head. Aroma of citrus, fruity hops, green weeds and yeasty notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle courtesy of Kostas, Kykao Brewery, sent to me, thank you so much for your generosity Kostas. Had this at home listening to Steve Lamaqs Evening Session on 6Music Wednesday 4th November 2020. Pours hazy dirty yellowy with a white head, mushy overipe fruit, but the yeastiness adds another dimension, it's a little earthy. Fruity with the yeastiness coming through again, nice softness in the mouth, there is a tanginess with some orange. Good but not the best from Kykao.
