Beginner’s Mind is a mindset we subscribe to that requires humility by engaging familiar problems with openness, eagerness, and lack of preconceptions as if we were complete beginners. This mindset has enabled us to constantly improve and retain a childhood sense of awe and wonder with our work. It is critical to who we are, and who we wish to become - Within a defined framework, each successive batch of Beginner’s Mind will aggressively challenge our notions of what works and what doesn’t, casting aside complacency in the name of risk and progress. We hope you enjoy the journey as much as we do!

Canned 12/8/21, drunk 2/6/22. Heavily hazy, darker/drabber brass-bronze with a small, white head showing moderate-to-low retention. Nose is juicy, fruity, with notes of light pine, stronger alpha acidity and a solid malt base of honey, graham cracker and cookie. Papaya, mango and rich, fresh squeezed orange juice are enjoyable, but the malt is somewhat on the stronger side, as is the pine-like acidity. Soft, supple, malty, with good, perhaps not great attenuation, though that seems intentional for sure. Papaya, mango, orange juice and stronger pine without any of the watermelon I love from Tree House. Not bubble gummy either, though, which is nice. Feels like Juice Machine without the more interesting notes. A pinch of alcohol and lingering pine-like resin/spice. Good and I can certainly respect the lack of a cookie cutter glass of NEIPA orange juice here, but it's not the type of DIPA that I love.

Can (12/3/20) pour from trade with Johnnnniee--thanks, John! Appearance is cloudy, almost iridescent orange with nice sparkle at the edges of the glass, finger-plus white foamy head with excellent retention and rings of soapy lacing. Aroma is strong mango, pineapple rind and citrus. Taste is strong mango, stone fruit, melon and tropical fruit. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth, frothy texture, soft carbonation and crisp finish as taste. Overall, strong aroma and flavor with decent complexity. Great look and decent mouthfeel. Quite good.

Can from Jeff, thanks for the hookup! Lightly hazy lemon gold in color with a thin bubbly white head that dissipates quickly. Earthy citrus and tropical fruits with a heavy bit of pine and resin especially in the flavor. Light sweet bread underneath. I like it!
