Heirloom recipes are a type of dialect passed through time and bloodlines. Whether your sugared stone fruit and sweetened dough combine under the banner of a cobbler, a buckle, a sonker, a slump, a betty, a boot, or a pandowdy, the nuanced regional details weave an intricate tapestry for a dessert that stands as the herald of the summer season.

Bourbon Barrel Aged Peach Cobbler-inspired Strong Ale finished with cinnamon and fresh peaches.

Overly peachy out of the fridge but mellows out at room temp for solid peach cobbler notes with lingering maltiness.

Aromas are peaches, (smells a lot like coconut), dark malt, roast, a little molasses and cocoa, a hint of oak. Flavors are a lot like nose, on the sweet side with a bit of cinnamon, and a hint of bourbon. Peach or coconut I'm not sure. Great body carbonation and easy finish. Booze is well hidden. Very nice beer. --- Beer merged from original tick of Details & Dialects (2021) on 06 Mar 2023 at 04:29 - Score: 8.5. Original review text: wil this work?

4/III/23 - 50cl bottle @ BBGG Winter 2023 ed. (Tim’s place), BB: n/a, batch 02, 2021 vintage (2023-204) Thanks to ElManana+1 for sharing the bottle!

Clear dark amber to purple brown beer, practically no head. Aroma: lots and lots of tonka, very sweet impression, lots of caramel, alcohol, ginger bread, more tonka. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet start, alcohol, coconut, more alcohol, very sharp,a bit soapy, floral notes, some vanilla, ok but not great. Aftertaste: lots and lots of coconut, some tonka, cinnamon touch, cocoa powder, funky, soapy, floral, alcohol, wow, very intense beer, but also very weird flavour combos going on here. And a bit too alcoholic.

Bottle at Gent tasting. Brownish color, maybe red brown a bit, average sized off-white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, something weird, almond, sweetness, something weird like a bounty candy bar or something. Yuk, hate it. Not my kind of beer at all.

Bottle Logic 2.0 tasting. Dark brown with brief, beige head. Caramel, strong peach, cinnamon, some bourbon. Quite artificial and perfumy.

Bottle pour shared by Chalumeaux--thanks, TJ! It's a clear, dark brown (cola) with no sparkle ring of beige head with no lacing. Aroma is strong peach and milder caramel and cinnamon. Taste is strong peach, caramel, cinnamon, lighter rye and bourbon. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, thin texture, no sign of alcohol, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, really smooth and beautiful complexity of flavor. Aroma is a little muted but overall really good.

500 ml Bottle shared by TJ. I mean the aroma is just peach, cinnamon and caramel. Flavor is rich peach upfront with soft cinnamon, even a touch of dough in the finish. Alcohol isn’t found any place. Pretty impressive but certainly not surprised from this brewery.

500mL bottle batch 2, drunk 5/28/22, thanks to TJ! Clear medium amber, thin, yellow-beige head quick to ring. Big, bold, comforting nose of cinnamon buns with peach frosting. Or maybe peach cobbler with cinnamon. Somehow not boozey at all. Vanilla, sweet dough but not too sweet. Sweet malts and juicy peach but drying out quickly with soft barrel tannin and biscuity malt notes. Some spicy bourbon and mild alcohol continue to dry things but long peach and sweet dough keep it balanced. Lingering tannin and sticky caramel. Love the dryness, love the lack of aggression.

Aroma is cinnamon sticky bun, light peaches, and caramel. Taste is insane, smooth, balanced, flavors change as it warms. ABV is totally hidden. Wow amazing beer.
