Abbey, so called in tribute to the München monks who first pioneered this traditional German style, is a rich and malty doppelbock with a distinctive ever-classic edge. Smooth mouth-feel with mild hop and assertive malty aroma.

440ml can from Mad Squirrel, High Wycombe. Poured a clear copper colour with a short-lived, frothy, off-white head. The aroma is malt, big nutty, hazelnut. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a smooth, rich, sweet malt, biscuit, dough, floral hop bitter palate. Over medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. A super sweet bock with plenty of flavour.
